Philosophers Quotes – Confucius

“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.” – Confucius

Sometimes your goals seem to be completely out of reach and that can discourage you. Whatever you do, it feels like it takes forever to get closer to your goal. When that happens, most of us tend to just give up on our dreams and aspirations. Try to be patient whilst working towards that ultimate goal. As long as you make progress, even if it is tiny steps, you will eventually arrive at your desired destination. It is not about how fast you reach your goal. It is about eventually reaching it.

Life should all be about constantly improving and developing yourself as a person. Becoming the best version of yourself is all what it is about. Never stop working on yourself. Whether it is getting in shape, eating healthier, learning another language or setting up your own business. Developing yourself is something that will take a lifetime. Improving yourself will never stop. So do not be discouraged when it looks like your progress is slow. As long as you are moving forward, you are doing great!

Confucius is a well-known Chinese philosopher who lived during the 6th century BC. He was raised in poverty by his mother Yan Zhengzai, because the philosopher’s father died when he was only three years old. His philosophy emphasised morality, justice and sincerity among others. Confucius’ thoughts have been developed into a system called Confucianism. Confucianism is rather difficult to categorise. Some see it as a philosophy, some as a religion and others as a tradition. Many of the Chinese classic texts come from his hand. Although, it is argued that a lot of those texts might actually come from his disciples. His famous golden rule was “Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself.”.
